This face-to-face course is specially designed for students who are only taking part in the exchange programme for one semester. It is suitable for those who want to get to know the country and its people better and have fun while learning the language. We work without a textbook. Using materials specially designed for this course, you will learn to speak with a limited vocabulary. You will practise communicating in everyday situations here in Marburg or when travelling around Germany. You will also practise listening and understanding in authentic situations. For example, talking to the cashier in a supermarket or reading instructions and information. In order to achieve satisfying learning results, you should be able to invest an average 2 hours per week for out of class work. Certificate requirements: Assignments on ILIAS, regular attendance in class, plus working on a learning portfolio. The grade will be recorded as passed or failed.
You will therefore need an ILIAS account and will receive information on how to access the relevant ILIAS course from your teacher in the first session
This course can be attended by those who are interested with very little previous knowledge as well as Re-take.

Exchange students can book the German classes free of charge. Therefore it is necessary to chose the correct exchange program as "status" (Erasmus, Erasmus+ Partnerländer, Freemover, Overseas) during the online registration.
Dieser Präsenzkurs ist speziell für Studierende, die nur für ein Semester am Austauschprogramm teilnehmen. Er eignet sich für alle, die Land und Leute besser kennenlernen und Spaß beim Sprachenlernen haben wollen. Wir arbeiten ohne Lehrwerk. Mit den speziell für diesen Kurs erstellten Materialien sollen Sie lernen, wie man mit begrenztem Wortschatz sprechen kann. Sie üben das Kommunizieren im Alltag hier in Marburg oder auf Reisen innerhalb Deutschlands. Sie trainieren auch das Zuhören und Verstehen von authentischen Situationen, wie z.B. die Kassierer*in im Supermarkt oder das Lesen von Hinweisen und Informationen. Für einen zufriedenstellenden Lernerfolg sollten Sie pro Woche zusätzlich zur Unterrichtszeit 2 Stunden Zeit für die Vor- und Nachbereitung Ihres Kurses einplanen. Bedingung für den Schein mit Kreditpunkten sind die Bearbeitung der Aufgaben auf ILIAS, regelmäßige Teilnahme am Präsenzunterricht sowie das Erstellen eines Lernportfolios. Als Prüfungsleistung wird bestanden oder nicht bestanden eingetragen.
