This course is designed for students with basic experience in English who want to improve their knowledge and use of grammar and vocabulary for communication in speaking and writing. In this course we will learn English automatically through real conversations with one another and employ what we learn in short (1-page) in-class handwritten assignments. We will also strengthen our skills through in-class exercises. Homework will consist of revising the handwritten assignments you produce in class based on the instructor’s corrections. Writing these responses to questions of personal interest or imaginative self-inquiry helps the instructor tailor grammatical corrections to your personal needs. Grades will be based on class participation, dedication to the revision of in-class writing, and a short final exam based on what we have accomplished in class during the semester.
